Welcome to the Trego County Fair Website. Summer is just around the corner and with summer comes the Trego County Fair: the fair with something for everyone. The fair dates for this year are July 20th-25th, 2008. This year's fair has many exciting events!
If you are a business owner, we cordially invite you to commercially display your merchandise, show off your business, tell the community what your organization is all about, or perhaps let the community know that your services are available. And what better way to do that than in the course of one week at the Trego County Fair?
If you're looking for entertainment, the Trego County Fair in WaKeeney is the place to be in July. We have many exciting events scheduled for the week of the fair. Musical entertainment includes the up-and-coming country and western star Jason Brown. Jason's two current singles: "You Don't Play Fair" and "Touchdown". Also appearing is Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations. Free musical entertainment includes 3x7 on Wednesday, July 24th, and open karokee on Sunday, July 22nd. 4-H and Open Class exhibits will be viewable in the Exhibit Building and commercial displays will be held in the Commercial Building. At the 2007 fair there was a 33% increase in entries in both 4-H and Open Class exhibits. There will also be two newly remodeled booths courtesy of the Trego Community High School industrial arts class. Help make the fair better by submitting your exhibit this year! With 2010 marking the Trego County Fair 100th Anniversary, corporate sponsorship will be helping us to bring in a headliner musical act as well as a carnival. Current sponsors include WW Drilling and Pro Auto Glass. If you see employees of these businesses tell them thanks for supporting their local fair.
